Report: Liverpool demand £90m for Barcelona-linked Sadio Mane
Barcelona have been told that they must hand over £90m to sign Sadio Mane from Liverpool, according to a report.
The Catalan giants are rumoured to have turned to the Senegal international as a possible replacement for Lionel Messi, who looks set to leave Camp Nou this summer.
Mane has played a starring role in Liverpool’s recent success, but the 28-year-old is rumoured to be open to joining Barca.
However, Mundo Deportivo claims that the Reds are demanding a big fee for Mane, who they are under no obligation to sell given that he has three years to run on his contract.
Liverpool have a history of losing key players to Barca, with the likes of Javier Mascherano, Luis Suarez and Philippe Coutinho all swapping Anfield for Camp Nou.
Mane played the full 90 minutes for Liverpool in Saturday’s 1-1 Community Shield draw with Arsenal, which the Merseyside outfit lost on penalties.

The 24-year-old has impressed during back-to-back loan spells with Hertha Berlin over the past two seasons, scoring nine goals and creating three more in 54 appearances for the Bundesliga outfit.
Kicker reports that Klopp will cast an eye over Grujic ahead of the 2020-21 season in order to determine whether he is capable of challenging for a first-team role at the English champions.
The Reds already have a lot of competition for places in midfield, while they have also been heavily linked with a summer bid for Bayern Munich’s Thiago Alcantara.
Should Liverpool decide to offload Grujic again, they are expected to do so on a permanent basis, with Hertha interested in bringing him back to Berlin in a £20m deal.
