AC Milan have reportedly joined the race to sign Brentford winger Said Benrahma.
The 25-year-old was part of a formidable front three alongside Ollie Watkins and Bryan Mbeumo during the 2019-20 campaign, and Benrahma amassed 17 goals and nine assists for Brentford in the regular Championship season.
However, Brentford’s failure to achieve promotion to the Premier League could possibly lead to Benrahma seeking pastures new ahead of the new season.
Chelsea have been tipped to move for the attacker in recent weeks, but according to DZFoot journalist Walid Ziani, AC Milan are now looking to strike a deal for Benrahma.
The report claims that Milan are stepping up their efforts to sign a new winger this summer, and Benrahma could be tempted to make the switch to the San Siro in order to join up with Algerian compatriot Ismael Bennacer.
Benrahma’s current deal at Brentford will expire in 2022, and the Bees have reportedly slapped a €28m (£25.2m) price tag on the winger’s head.
